In August, the High Bridge Works reception was graced with an exciting collection on paintings by local artist MDOTDEE.
Heavily inspired by his hometown, MDOTDEE’s work features bold, vibrant paintings on Newcastle in vibrant colours with a clear pop art influence. Using everyday symbols, local iconograhpy, architecture and signage, the artist reflects on his lift and experiences, exploring what it feels like to live and grow in a city that shapes you.
The exhibition ran from August 11th to 29th and featured a preview on the 21st which was well attended by the artists’ friends and family. This was MDOTDEE’s first time exhibiting, and we’re already looking forward to seeing what he does next!
