High Bridge Works is proud to present the work of Stuart Mel Wilson, a Gateshead-born artist and Goldsmiths College graduate, is celebrated for his thought-provoking large-scale drawings and immersive installations.
His work delves into the absurdities of human perception, exploring the tension between meaning, interpretation, and the natural world. Through his use of traditional mark-making techniques and found objects, Wilson crafts environments that challenge viewers’ preconceptions, offering a humorous yet profound reflection on the human experience.
In this exhibition, Wilson revisits some of his older works, discovering ways to reimagine them in a new space, and exploring how they work together in an environment which they are not designed to fit.
Wilson’s artworks invite introspection, reshaping the boundaries of contemporary interpretation whilst celebrating the richness of the absurd.
