Rooted in ordinary moments, Mim’s work examines the theatricality of the familiar small gestures and encounters of the everyday that slip into humour, discomfort and contradiction. Using vibrant colour, bold line work and collage across textiles and print, the compositions appear playful at first glance, yet on closer inspection hold a quieter tension underneath. The works in this exhibition observe the theatrical and absurd qualities embedded within everyday experience, where ordinary life becomes a site of performance, contradiction and subtle disruption.
