Meeting Room Revamp

Time for a refresh! The High Bridge Works meeting room was overdue a bit of love…

We’ve brought in dynamic new furniture created by innovative north-east designers Deadgood.

Designed and made in Britain, Deadgood’s Working lounge chair collection boasts being produced from 80% recycled material. Even the powder coated finish is produced from recycled paint – cheekily they call it Get Wasted. The tables are solid oak on recycled steel legs and lend a warm, natural feeling to the space. The furniture arrangement can be reconfigured to accommodate larger meetings, up to sixteen.

Feature walls have received a lick of paint to enhance the warmth of the space. Secondary colours have been selected as the palette for the meeting room, with an energetic and cheerful orange adorning the end walls. A combination of green and purple upholstered chairs adds a splash of colour.

We’ve included lamps to provide softer lighting and brought in some luscious plants too. With a calathea and sanservia sitting atop of scandi-inspired, hand-made and sustainably sourced birch plywood plant pot stands, designed and made locally by Pretty Ply.

We’ve put a lot of thought into the artworks for the space. Two large-framed prints by Will Barras feature the iconic Tyne Bridge like you’ve never seen it before, with the captivating cinematic mise-en-scène of a noir thriller. These have been supplied by art curators and interior consultants Unit 44.

High Bridge Works studio holder Mark Rogerson has designed a bespoke new series of letter press artworks, which pay homage to our heritage and the original Ward’s printworks that first occupied the building from 1903.

Elsewhere, Bobzilla’s lively abstract artwork complements the utilitarian but comfortable seating of Deadgood’s Working Lounge Chair collection in a relaxed space to host brief, informal chats with clients.

The meeting room is completed with the addition of a new coffee machine. And who doesn’t love the smell of fresh coffee to greet them in their next creative meeting. We’re sure our studio holders will enjoy getting their innovative minds to work in this newly revamped space!
